As you may have picked up on, ice cream has been a bit of a pregnancy craving or “antojo” for me the past few months. I’d like to blame it on the heat, but regardless, I have enjoyed taste-testing a variety of helados in Valencia this summer.

What’s better than a cool, creamy scoop of ice cream, you ask? A cool, creamy scoop of ice cream pressed between two cookies!
WACIS (We Are Californian Ice cream Sandwiches) is an adorable ice cream sandwich shop located in the city center of Valencia, on Gran Via. Gran Vía del Marqués del Turia, 71, 46005 València, Valencia. They have modeled their concept after two famous shops in California (both of which I have frequented and can vouch for their amazingness): CREAM and The Baked Bear.
WACIS Valencia has an assortment of flavors of cookies as well as unique ice cream flavors. Best part of all? They have gluten free chocolate chip cookies and almost all of their ice cream flavors are gluten free as well. They even have vegan sorbet options including lemon and strawberry.
